Your first listing is the foundation of your success as a seller. By following our guidelines, you can make your item stand out in the video-first feed and sell faster.
Overview of Creating a Listing
Listing on Troverve is a three-step process: record a short product video, write an honest description, and set a fair price. Once submitted, your listing goes live within minutes after a quick safety check.
1. Recording Your Product Video
Video is the heart of every Troverve listing. Buyers swipe through short clips to discover products, so your video needs to show the item clearly and authentically.
- check_circleShow all angles: Rotate the item slowly so buyers can see the front, back, and sides.
- check_circleHighlight defects: Any wear, scratches, or imperfections must be shown clearly. Honesty reduces disputes.
- check_circleGood lighting: Film near a window or use a ring light for accurate colour representation.
- check_circleKeep it short: 15–60 seconds is ideal. Longer videos lose viewer attention in the feed.
2. Writing Your Description
A clear description helps buyers make an informed decision and reduces return requests. Include all relevant details your video may not convey:
- •Open the Troverve app and tap the + button at the bottom of your feed.
- •Upload or record your product video directly in-app.
- •Fill in the Title, Condition, Category, and Description fields.
- •Add any relevant size, material, or brand information.
- •Tap Continue to move to the pricing step.
3. Setting Your Price
Use the Price Suggester tool (available during listing creation) to see what similar items sold for. You can also enable Best Offer to let buyers negotiate — great for faster sales on older stock.
