What is the personalised feed?
Troverve's video feed is powered by a recommendation engine that analyses your browsing and purchasing behaviour to surface the most relevant second-hand listings for you. Unlike a traditional search, you don't need to know what you're looking for — the feed discovers it for you.
How the feed learns your preferences
Every action you take in the feed sends a signal to our algorithm. These signals are combined to build a taste profile unique to your account.
- check_circleSwipe right: A strong positive signal — you liked this item enough to add it to your cart.
- check_circleSwipe left: Tells the feed you're not interested in this style, brand, or category.
- check_circleTap to pause: Shows you were curious about the item, even if you didn't swipe right.
- check_circleCompleted purchase: Our strongest signal — the feed will show you more items like this.
- check_circleReturns and disputes: Negative signal that reduces similar items in your feed.
Tips to improve your feed faster
- •Complete the onboarding quiz when you first sign up — it pre-seeds your taste profile.
- •Swipe decisively: left or right. Pausing without swiping sends a weaker signal.
- •Use the Category filter to focus on specific product types.
- •Tap 'Not interested' on any listing to permanently remove that seller or category.
- •Follow sellers whose style you love — their new listings will always appear in your feed.
